Rome

Rome is an amazing city and I am so blessed to be able to be here. Jeff and I arrived early Friday morning. We spent most of Friday as a zombie after an 18 hour day of travel and almost 30 hours of no sleep, but we are still enjoying every minute. We have been so blessed by our stay. We have an amazing hotel in the Aventino area with an incredible view of the city just a block away, the food has been wonderful and we are enjoying our time getting lost as we explore the alleys and hidden streets of Rome. We spent most of today in the Palantino and Roman Forum. I love the ruins but even more I am enjoying learning about the culture. The churches are amazing. Tomorrow we are heading to Virtebo a small town north of Rome to get out of the city and hopefully see some Roman baths.

Here are a few pictures of the day
