Sarafi’s and Villages

So far this trip has been amazing. We started out with a safari and helicopter ride, yesterday we visited villages with some of the most beautiful terrain and people I have ever met. The land is filled with tea plantains, banana farms, lakes and volcanoes. The people are so happy to see a new face they chase the car and the riders yelling be strong with huge smiles and we pass. Some are afraid of the camera most are excited about it. Every time I show them a picture of themselves I am surrounded by many as most have never seen themselves before. I have never felt so welcome before in a new place.

Here are some pictures.

The pics are great. I can see why you’re having such a great time. I’m very jealous, but not in an un-christian way. Tell us stories about the people you’ve met.

What’s the name of that happy native in your last pics? I see you’ve bonded.

For the past 2 nights I’ve going to my monitor to look at my new favorite adventure series (Where In The World Is Dani?) and it wasn’t on!!! So happy to see you blogging again. Incredible pictures!! I’m jealous too, but not in an un-Christain way. Loved hearing from you today. Looked at your blog alittle before 12p.m. Nothing. Thought I’d look one more time before I got off the computer and Jeff had already written you twice.
    Love you, Mom

    Hi,

Reading your blog is like being addicted to a soap opera. I can’t wait for the next episode. I feel like I’m on this adventure with you. You’re such a good writer. I haven’t seen your pictures, because I haven’t got a computer. But, Robert says they’re great. I can’t wait to see them. Until tomorrow, love, Grandma.

Hey Mary, this is Jason. I see you are having a great time. I am very happy that you have decided to travel to see another country and devote some time toward helping others in ways that you can. Jay had not told me until two days ago that you had gone there. Have fun and be safe!
