Bike Races

I didn’t have much time to photograph the races because I wasn’t feeling well. Here are a few pics from the day. This race was probably the most dangerous race I have ever photographed. 200 riders picked up these wooden bikes and went running down a narrow hill. They were running over each other and into each other with big wooden frames. I jumped on a motor taxi to try and follow the race. I felt like I was in the middle of a riot. Crazy but fun. The adventures of a photojournalist.

Nice work… being chased by a lot of men with wood can be dangerous I am glad you are okay.

When you told me there was a wooden bike race, I thought they rode the bikes. I wondered how they would ride a wooden bike? I never thought they picked them up and ran. Who’d of thought?????????
