Redwood Engagement Photos | Santa Cruz

When Rebecca told me she and Jake were interested in Redwood Engagement Photos, I knew the perfect place. Henry Cowell State Park in Santa Cruz was 1 mile from the home I grew up in, I knew the park well from my numerous years of hiking it, and it is absolutely breathtaking.

Since my move to Bend Oregon I have been surround by the beautiful ponderosa pine trees, but it was a real treat to to visit the canopy of Redwoods. For our redwood engagement photos ,we hiked the 1 mile loop redwood trail as well as visited a few other locations in the park including the railroad trestle, the river and a beautiful field of sand dragon flowers entering the park.

I loved Jake and Rebeccas sense of adventure from scrambling over the railroad trestle with gaping holes in the bridge above the river, to taking off their shoes and splashing in the river, to walking all the way back to the car barefoot. All the elements for a perfect Redwood engagement session.

Bend Engagement Photography |Smith Rock Engagement Photos

I am so excited to share more Smith Rock engagement photos. Smith Rock is one of my favorite Bend Engagement Photography locations.

It seemed like a perfect fit to photograph at Smith Rock. Not only is this Bend location magnificent it is also the location where Jonathan proposed to Carolyn. It holds many memories and hikes for the two of them, and it was a place they absolutely love.

These smith rock engagement photos were filled lots of laughter, an insane wind storm, exploring, and at the end of the day we were lucky enough to see a bald eagle fly directly over our heads. As I mentioned before, everything about the location is magnificent. Looking forward to photographing them again at their Brasada Ranch Wedding.

Bend Wedding Photographer| Smith Rock Engagement

Every time I go to smith rock it takes my breath away. My husband and I were just talking about how the grandness and beauty literally surprise us every time we pull up into the parking lot. It is magnificent in its size and its the perfect backdrop for climbing, hiking, exploring and of course Bend engagement pictures.

I have photographed engagement pictures at smith rock a handful of times and every time I feel like I discover a new secret spot. When the sun sets behind the big rocks it seems like every direction becomes magic. I had so much photographing Jon and Katie’s smith rock engagement pictures. Katie was adventurous to climb rocks even in her high heels and they brought lots of props to represent their relationship. I even supplied my husbands cruiser bike since they love to ride together.

Santa Cruz Beach Engagement | Matt and Inga

Beach days, summer lovin, a perfect recipe for a Santa Cruz engagement shoot. Both Matt and Inga met in Santa Cruz so it was only fitting that we head to the beach to photograph their engagement pictures. 4 mile beach is one of my favorite Santa Cruz locations. I love the tall cliffs and how when the sun sets the light beams over the tops, I love that just behind the cliffs is fields of wildflowers, I love that it is a bit hidden and usually empty aside from the few stray surfers. It is one of my favorite locations to photograph and I so glad I get to share it with my couples.

Bend Engagement Photos | Mt Bachelor

These engagement photos feature all my favorite things about Bend. Each time I photograph in Bend I am in more awe of its diverse landscape and grandness and so excited at the opportunity to photograph more engagement and weddings photos. The cascade lakes highway opens in the spring and it is a perfect location for Bend engagement photos. We started our adventure in pursuit of a lake but shortly into our adventure we realized there was much more on the highway that we wanted to explore. I am thankful for adventurous couples that were willing to stop each time I spotted a new location or saw some beautiful light peaking around a mountain. I am so excited to photograph their wedding at Black Butte Ranch.

Santa Cruz Engagement Photos | Beach Wedding Photography

These beach engagement photos still have me smiling. Growing up in the Santa Cruz mountains the beach was only a hop, skip and a jump away. Over the years I discovered a few hidden spots and I am always excited to share my secrets with my clients when they ask for beach engagement photos. Rob and Anna created a beach travel wonderland for their engagement photos. They came Pinterest ready with lots of ideas and it was so much fun incorporating all their hard work into our pictures. I can’t wait for their Nestldown wedding later this summer.
