I was completely honored when Jonathan and Carolyn asked me to do their Brasada Ranch Wedding Photography. I love exploring new Bend Wedding Venues and Brasada Ranch was a dream. A luxury ranch in the middle of the desert with a view of the cascades  was a perfect place to photograph beautiful wedding photos. I loved exploring the vast property the glow of the sage brush, the old trellis bridge, the rustic barns, and of course the unforgettable sunset that lay just beyond the three sister cascade mountains.

I had so much fun working with Jonathan and Carolyn. They had endless joy and energy and such a zeal for life that you can’t help but smile when you are around them. It was the little things that made their day so special, the amazing toasts with friends and family, and the mother son dance was a fun for all the guests to see. Both Jonathan and Carolyn originally came from the east coast so it was very special for them to show off Bends beauty to all their friends and family. I loved watching them show off the cascade mountain range and spend the twilight hour as the sun was setting dancing with their guests. It was a perfect day for their Brasada Ranch Wedding.

I have photographed engagement pictures at smith rock a handful of times and every time I feel like I discover a new secret spot. When the sun sets behind the big rocks it seems like every direction becomes magic. I had so much photographing Jon and Katie’s smith rock engagement pictures. Katie was adventurous to climb rocks even in her high heels and they brought lots of props to represent their relationship. I even supplied my husbands cruiser bike since they love to ride together.

I have fallen in love with this Black Butte Ranch Wedding it is the perfect location for Bend Wedding Photography. Everything from the velvet dresses, to the burnt orange suits to the snow capped mountains, made this a picture perfect Winter Bend Wedding. I am also in love with Aspen trees which are plentiful at Black Butte Ranch. Before the ceremony we ventured into a grove of aspen trees. The white bark of the aspen trees against the white snow on the trail was absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect photos for this Bend Wedding.

Black Butte Ranch

Black Butte Ranch is a very special wedding venue for the bride and groom. The brides parents met at Black Butte Ranch and later purchased a vacation house at the ranch so they could share their love of the location with their children. The wedding ceremony arch was handmade by the brides father and framed the sun setting over the cascade mountains.

This private estate outdoor wedding was a photographers dream. Gardens, vineyards, and sunlight surrounded every part of the wedding. The ceremony was performed under an old growth oak tree, followed by a cocktail party in the gardens and outdoor dinner under an open-air canopy covered with Wisteria. Campovida was the perfect venue for outdoor wedding photography.

When Shane and Kris, who were avid travelers and foodies, were searching for the perfect venue they found Campovida. They filled their wedding with aspects that told the story of their relationship. A chalkboard of adventures from the locations they traveled the world led their guest to their tables under an open wisteria canopy, outdoor lounges were set underneath the trees where they had an open bar sampling some of their favorite drinks. One of the highlights of the night was when Shane, a gifted musician, performed a song to his new bride with his band under the stars. One of my favorite parts of the wedding was watching Kris hug her parents as tears streamed down her face as the entire wedding watched Shane to sing to his new bride. It was all a beautiful outdoor wedding and that I was honored to be the photographer for it.
