Bohemian Engagement

I am so excited to share this Santa Cruz Bohemian Engagement. I was thrilled when I started working with this couple on their vision for the shoot. They wanted a fall themed venue with a bohemian twist. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect location than the persimmon trees in the Nestldown Orchard. The persimmon trees only change color for a few short weeks out of the year so timing was crucial, and we couldn’t have arrived at a more perfect day. The colors of the leaves created a beautiful confetti from the sky to the ground, Brittany looked spectacular in her lace dress and flower crown, and Nestldown graciously offered one of their horses. Fall engagement sessions are is my favorite season to photograph.

Engagement Date Night in Campbell.

Its always exciting for me when I get to know my couples. I mean when they really invite me into their life and let me know who they are and what makes their relationship so special. During this engagement session I got a small glimpse of how awesome Jeff and Daniella are by following them around in downtown Campbell and documenting them on a date and their courtship. We started with a walk to the jewelery store where they purchased their rings followed it by a few of their favorite stops at the cafe and a walk through the park. It ended. with a fabulous dinner at Orchard City Kitchen and I couldn’t be happier that Jeff is also a foodie like myself.

Alek + Kendall Santa Cruz Engagement

These two knew exactly where they wanted their engagement pictures taken. They quickly responded the famous tree, and once again the tree did not disappoint. The fields and golden sunshine is just a perfect mix with the California terrain. I am constantly surprised at how inspired I get by the simplicity of this beauty. During my time with Alek and Kendall I learned of how they met and their crazy stories of traveling. I look forward to seeing them again this fall when they seal their love together at Nestldown.
