This is my second Catholic- Indian Wedding at Nestldown and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. I am absolutely honored that my clients have chosen me to share their memories.

Nestldown Wedding

I have been photographing weddings at Nesltdown for over 10 years and it is still my favorite location in Santa Cruz, California. Not only does it hold a special place in my heart as it is where I said my “i do” 9 years ago, I just love being under the canopy of redwoods. The outdoor wedding venue is constantly changing in every season and the venue itself always has new hidden locations and trails to be explored. The artist in me can barely hold myself back when I see the light shinning through the majestic redwood trees.

Indian Wedding Photography

The Baraat Indian Ceremony is one of my favorite ceremonies to photograph. It’s usually during the middle of the Barat when I am surrounded by beautiful colors, music, and dancing that I am filled with gratitude that I have such an amazing job. The Indian ceremony Barat of Nirmal and Allison took place in downtown San Jose, close to where I went to school at San Jose State. I remember walking the same streets that they danced on as a young photojournalism student dreaming of photographing such an event. I could not be more grateful to share such a wonderful day.

Nestldown Redwood Wedding | Amish and Alli

When two cultures collide in unity and love magic happens. Amish and Alli’s Nestldown redwood wedding was just that. They seamlessly fused an Indian celebration with a Catholic ceremony and it was perfect. I loved how they honored their two cultures and brought every one together in a giant celebration. The day started with a Baarat. The groom danced with his guests while riding a horse. They escorted everyone down to the chapel at Nestldown for a Indian ceremony under a beautiful decorated Mandap. The ceremony ended with traditional vows and Catholic priests blessing on the marriage. I was honored to be a part of their day and see how both their families embraced them with love and support as they begin to build their lives together.
