It seemed like a perfect fit to photograph at Smith Rock. Not only is this Bend location magnificent it is also the location where Jonathan proposed to Carolyn. It holds many memories and hikes for the two of them, and it was a place they absolutely love.

These smith rock engagement photos were filled lots of laughter, an insane wind storm, exploring, and at the end of the day we were lucky enough to see a bald eagle fly directly over our heads. As I mentioned before, everything about the location is magnificent. Looking forward to photographing them again at their Brasada Ranch Wedding.

I have photographed engagement pictures at smith rock a handful of times and every time I feel like I discover a new secret spot. When the sun sets behind the big rocks it seems like every direction becomes magic. I had so much photographing Jon and Katie’s smith rock engagement pictures. Katie was adventurous to climb rocks even in her high heels and they brought lots of props to represent their relationship. I even supplied my husbands cruiser bike since they love to ride together.
