I may be biased because Hailey is one of good friends babies but look at how cute she is. Every picture is beautiful. Welcome Hailey Grace, we are so blessed to have you in our lives.

Sweet 16

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

A couple of weeks ago I was blessed to be a part of Kate’s sweet 16 birthday. Kate, her mom and I hit it off right away and they decided that I would be a perfect match to photograph Kate’s party. The party was a super cool black tie event with about 100 of Kates classmates and friends. They had dancing, cake, and a talent show with cool prizes. First prize was an iphone. Yep that’s right an iphone. Anyway here a few pics from Kates portraits session. She is a beautiful young lady and all her pictures came out amazing. It was hard to choose which ones to show you. Here are a few.

I am positively negative

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

Three years I was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma, a type of cancer that attacked the lymph system in my body. Through prayer, chemo, and the amazing love and support of my family I have been cured from the disease. I just completed my annual set of tests including a full body PET SCAN and CAT SCAN. All the tests came out negative and I have received a clean bill of health.

The process of going through cancer changed my life forever. It has opened my eyes to a deeper level of suffering and compassion. There is not a day that goes by that I forget about my experience of cancer. Since cancer my goal is to use this gift of life that I have been given and try and serve others. This year I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Africa photograph the people. I was able to use my compassion to help others with my love of photography. The people in Africa are amazing and have such a deep sense of gratefulness for their lives in a country of such suffering in need. Below is a picture of me visiting a village in Rwanda. The children looking at the camera are looking a pictures of themselves and for the first time.
